Ovarian cysts are small, or sometimes big, wall-filled sacs present inside the ovary (or ovaries) of females. It can occur at any age during a woman’s reproductive years. These cysts can be formed because of an accumulation of small eggs due to increased hormonal levels.
If many cysts are present in an ovary, the condition can be called polycystic ovary disease, and nowadays, it has become a common disease affecting many women. The ovarian cysts are harmless, but can grow larger in size if treatment is not initiated at the right time. The first line of treatment would be to bring the hormones levels down to a normal level, so that the cysts stop growing.
It has healing properties associated with it and helps to maintain a hormonal balance. It is very helpful in treating the ovarian cysts and can also improve the function of the adrenal glands. This is one of the safest home remedies for ovarian cysts.
How to use licorice for ovarian cysts
Boil some licorice in a bowl for 5 minutes and leave it aside for sometime (about 6 minutes). Strain the liquid once cooled and drink it twice daily.
This herb is a powerful medicine that can be used to treat almost all gynaecological problems. It helps to shrink the ovarian cysts, gives relief from pelvic pain and controls the menstrual flow. The diterpenes present in chasteberries reduce the production of the hormone oestrogen from the brain, thus helping in maintaining a hormonal balance.
